A million Mogadishus

Last week, at a teach-in, Nicholas De Genova, a Columbia University assistant professor of anthropology stated "I personally would like to see a million Mogadishus" - a reference to the city in Somalia where 18 U.S. soldiers were killed in 1993. (link)

Now, don't get me wrong, I oppose this war. But I'm not going to wish for our troops to be killed. I just want them to come home, and would like to see a quick and peaceful solution (weapons inspections, diplomacy, and other things that apparently Bush, Cheney, and Rummy can't relate to).

So I've got two questions: if De Genova gets his wish for "a million Mogadishus", who's going to defend his right to free speech? Oh, and also, how many box tops did he have to send in to get his degree?
