Regret

It's a rare and happy person who goes through life with no regrets whatsoever. Sadly, I am not one of those people. Here's a few things I regret:

  • I was driving on 89, north of the Grand Tetons, bound for Jenny Lake. I saw great photo possibility, but didn't stop to take the picture. It was getting close to sunset, and the Grand Tetons were absolutely ablaze with color - they looked indescribably beautiful. Parked along the side of the road was a Pepsi truck, with the driver sitting atop the cab, enjoying the scenery. He was drinking a Coke!
  • Have you ever seen a "starving artist" sale? In Florida, it was popular for starving artists to set up their wares at abandoned gas stations. I drove by, but didn't stop to buy a picture. It was the Last Supper, executed on that classiest of mediums, black velvet. At the head of the table was not the King of Kings, but the King of Rock & Roll. Rather than Jesus Christ, it was the late Elvis Presley. There's gotta be a theological message in there somewhere...
