US 60

I was in Superior last Sunday, and took the opportunity to hike a portion of the former alignment of US 60 (closed to regular traffic for over 50 years). If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend it. I hiked from the eastern terminus to the old Queen Creek Bridge, and back. According to my GPS, it was a little over two miles. I lost satellite signal in a few places - the most prominent dark territory in the map is under the bridge.
Not surprisingly, I also lost signal in the Claypool Tunnel. Man, was it freezing in there! The actual temperature that day was high 60s/low 70s, but inside the tunnel there was a stiff wind, and it chilled me to the bone.
