Panhandlers

When I got the mail yesterday, it was the usual weighty assortment of junk mail mixed with actual important stuff ("important" meaning "pay it or you lose your running water"). Today, as I sat to separate the wheat from the chaff, there were two political campaign letters begging for money for the 2006 election. It's bad enough that we get stuff from the incumbents this early, but what's worse is that it's from politicians from other states! Maria Cantwell (D-WA), and Hillary Clinton (D-NY) are both begging for money. I don't even want to hear from Kyl (R-AZ) or McCain (R, no, D, no R...-AZ), and I live in their home state!

I live in Arizona, you dimwits! Leave me alone!

(This is not an anti-Democrat screed - it's just that those were the only two letters I got asking for money. I don't want to hear from the out-of-state tax-fattened hyenas from the other side if the aisle, either.)
