Scrubbed

I was at Wallops Island earlier today to see the launch of TacSat-2. Sadly, it didn't work out - the launch was scrubbed. I arrived at Chincoteague yesterday after 4 PM (and a 4 1/2 hour drive from Ashburn). After checking in, I went to a pre launch party hosted by Orbital, then joined friends for dinner (very nice - it's been a while since I had good seafood). I woke up at 3 AM, and DJ came by to pick me up at 3:30. As soon as I closed the car door, his cell rang. He answered it, and just hung his head. We went to the Wallops Visitors Center anyway (to join the "death watch"). The launch vehicle was ready, but a software problem on the satellite grounded the mission.

After catching a press conference, I checked out of the hotel and took the long drive back. The earliest it could launch is now Wednesday.
