Solar pizza
For lunch today, I cooked a pizza - in a solar oven. It seems a shame to live in a place like Phoenix (where the sun shines 350 days a year on average) and not take advantage of all the sunshine, so there's now a solar oven in the cooking arsenal. The pizza took about 45 minutes - longer than it would in a regular oven, but the temperature in the solar was around 350. I only needed to move the oven once to follow the sun, and the pizza was delicious. This was the inaugural meal cooked in the solar oven; I expect to be using it a lot more!
